what happened to that little ipod?…and other stuff.

two people have brought it to my attention that i never told you what happened to the apparent ipod from hell.

the day after i had the conversations with apple and circuit city, i drove back to the lycoming mall to get my gift card as they promised they’d give me. of course because things happen in such magical ways, their system was down at circuit city. they could not give me a gift card, but they could give me store credit if i wanted to buy something then. oh well i found an ipod nano. i’m not super fond of them because they’re so small, but that’s what i found. it was $20 more than the one i had and it was 2gb less. huzzah!

the ipod didn’t want to accept the music i put on it so after much finagling eric tricked it so that i now have music on the wonderful little ipod.

today i was leave world cultural geography and i saw brock dent sitting by himself in the lobby of hartline. poor brock. so over i go to discuss important matters with him. brock said he wanted me to show him how to silk screen because he only did it one time and i think he said he botched it up pretty good. i love showing people show to silk screen! amazing! we were also talking about the southern graphics council which i am almost positive i will be attending…more on that later. i told him that i knew connie wolfe (fellow printmaker and prof in ohio now?…i do believe) would be going there and i didn’t know if prof. clay-robison who was teaching in philly would be going. brock said that he might be if he can make it, but since he move to florida it might be hard for him to do that. what? he moved to florida? apparently he’s now teaching in jacksonville and he loves it. i am glad to hear that! probably 2 months ago we had old mail that came to the art dept office for him. we usually forward his mail to him…well i do and i always write a note to him and then he’ll email me back. he never emailed me and i thought it was strange. i guess i know now why he didn’t get his mail in philly!

anyway…there are 5 students along with marilee who will be going to the southern graphics council. everyone in the advanced print and intermediate print class had to write a paper on why they think they should go to the SGC. no problem. this is how i began my paper to marilee…

” I decided to turn my “why I should go to the Southern Graphics Council” paper in to a “top 10 reasons why I should go to the Southern Graphics Council” paper. Let me begin.”

and i gave the top ten reasons. i’m willing to bet i’ll be going to the SGC. we’ll see what marilee thought of my top ten reasons.
